The
Third Annual Northeast U.S. Capri Meet
The
“Connecticut Capri Connection”
Capri’s Mania!
Once again I had a great turnout at this second
Connecticut Capri meet. The weather
wasn’t as nice as last year, but we did have sun. It was humid and we did get a late afternoon thunderstorm. This year I hosted the event and invited
several Capri friends. We had a total
of NINE Capri’s show up with a total of 16 guests. Those in attendance included:
·
The Szypulski’s (of
course) including Ted, Dottie and Robin with Ted’s one-owner 1976 MKII with
Décor Group option, 2.8L V6 and 4 speed.
·
Laura Szypulski, in from
Troy, NY where’s she’s working over the summer, she had her 1976 MKII Ghia,
2.8L V6 and 4 speed.
·
Doug and Connie Wilson
of Pennsylvania. Doug left his yellow
’71 with 2.0 and 4 speed at home, but they came with a lot of photos and
doughnuts!
·
Ivo and Denise Carver
from Maine with his 1974 Euro spec MKII Ghia with 1.6L I4 and automatic
transmission.
·
Bart Manhard of New
Hampshire with Bart’s fully restored copper ’74 with 2.0 and 4 speed. Bart’s car was featured at Ford’s 100th
anniversary celebration in Detroit as one of Ford’s “Heart and Soul” cars.
·
Mike Rahamut of New York
City with his newly painted 1974 MKI with 2.8L V6 and 4 speed.
·
Kenyatta Lambie and
friend Ray of New York City with his modified black ’77 with 2.8L V6 and 4
speed.
·
Joe and Tracey Bennardo
of Long Island, NY with Joe’s 1976 MKII with 2.3L Turbo and 4 speed.
·
David Wells of New
Jersey with his “Blue Beast”, a blue ’74 with 2.8 and 4 speed.
·
Larry Wells of New York
